After weeks of messing around and tweaking different settings on the wordpress site, I finally found a solution. Disable gravatars on the site. Yesterday I sent out a tweet about my problem and shortly afterwards I got a reply from @135746 telling me “it’s gravatars”. I have a plugin called “recent comments” that has an option to display gravatars next to user’s recent comments. So after disabling them now it simply just shows the username with no avatar. Until there is a fix, we’ll just have to be simple. This is why social media rocks. Got a problem? Send a tweet. Need a service in exchange for something else? Send a status update. Love it.
